Reformating Usb Drive On Mac Thats Compatable For Mac And Windows

If you don't want to spend any money and don't have a Seagate drive, an alternative is to format your drive in the exFAT format, which is a Microsoft file system optimized for flash memory such as USB flash drives and SD cards, and is supported on both MacOS and Windows. Instructions on how to format a drive as exFAT can be found here: -drive-for-windows-and-mac

Why would you format as HFS+ and then also buy NTFS for Mac? That program allows you to read and write to NTFS partitions, not HFS since that is already native. If you format as HFS+, you would need the Macdrive (or similar) program on your windows systems to read/write to it. 2ff7e9595c
