PowerMapper is a graphical sitemap generator which excels at reverse-engineering sitemaps from existing websites. It scans all a site's pages, capturing thumbnails and meta data for each page, then draws these on a map.
Isometric Map Generator MAC OS X
This graphical sitemap arranges page thumbnails in an isometric (pseudo-3D) view. Unlike a true 3D view, pages further back stay the same size making them easier to see. The map can be re-centered on a new page by drilling down using the [+] symbols.

IsometrIcon is a free Photoshop plugin that helps to transform shapes into isometric orientation.Build simple isometric icons and other elements in seconds with only a few clicks. A true time saving tool for graphic artists and icon builder.
Stonesense is a third party visualizer, implemented as a DFHack plugin, that lets you view your fortress in a classic isometric perspective. It runs alongside Dwarf Fortress, and can follow the main game's view, updating in real-time. It is included in DFHack, and can be opened by typing stonesense or ssense into the console window.
If you want to draw on a classic paper, you should definitely download isometric grid paper templates and print them. They are super accurate and come in different sizes. The best part? A lot of them are available for free. When you are looking for a thicker more art proven paper, you can also buy an isometric grid paper notebook. But why not combine both digital and non-digital illustrations by first sketching art on your grid notebook and then quickly trace it in Vectornator? Your reallife sketch becomes digital vector art! We would love to see your results. Tag us on Instagram!
In less intuitive graphic design tools like Adobe Illustrator, you are forced to draw/create an isometric grid by using the rectangular grid tool to create a basic grid first. After that, you need to scale your grid to the right size. Then, you shear the grid to get the angles as we previously discussed. At the end, you need to rotate the grid again. After all those steps, you are able to use your self-made isometric grid as a guideline for isometric projection.
Luckily, intuitive isometric drawing tools like Vectornator nowadays offer a much easier intuitive solution where you are easily able to create an isometric grid with one tap while still having the chance to resize it in your design process. We will show you how to do all of that in the following paragraphs.
Drawing an isometric grid on paper is rather hard and we would not recommend it. Better buy a relatively cheap isometric notebook or use your digital pen + a great isometric drawing tool like Vectornator.
Draw or modify a heightmap with the heightmap tools. Get real world heightmaps from real locations. Specify the map elevation and orientation and generate an isometric 3D map. Style the map surface with editable gradient presets, seamless textures, Contour Lines tool, Water Level tool and EFX brushes. Change the map height, style the background, determine the Map lighting, place high quality isometric map icons from the icons library. Load your own icons into the library. Create professional 3D terrains with just a couple of clicks. All with one tool and a few clicks in Photoshop!
MORE INDIVIDUAL Every angle of vision on the 3D map is possible. You can completely determine the height and map dimension and change it at any time. Also light and shadows are adjustable at will. 8 isometric map angle presets picture a 360 degree angle of vision. So the isometric icon sets will still match the final maps. Manually the map can of course be rotated steplessly. With the map reset function you can go back to the isometric basic setting at any time.
Isometric Tilemaps use either dimetric projectionA form of parallel projection where the dimensions of a 3D object are projected onto a 2D plane, and only two of the three angles between the axes are equal to each other. This form of projection is commonly used in isometric video games to simulate three-dimensional depth. More infoSee in Glossary or true isometric projectionA form of parallel projection where the dimensions of a 3D object are projected onto a 2D plane, and the angles between all three axes are equal to each other. Freeciv is a single- and multiplayer turn-based strategy game for workstations and personal computers inspired by the proprietary Sid Meier's Civilization series. It is available for most desktop computer operating systems and available in an online browser version.[1] Released under the GNU GPL-2.0-or-later,[3] Freeciv is free and open source software. The game's default settings are closest to Civilization II, in both gameplay and graphics, including the units and the isometric grid. However, with a lot of multiplayer games being played in longturn communities, rulesets and additional variants have evolved away from the original ruleset. Freeciv is playable online at Longturn.net, fciv.net, freecivweb.org and a number of temporary private servers that may or may not be listed on metaserver.
Freeciv-web is a version of Freeciv playable online in any modern web browser. It supports 2D isometric graphics or 3D graphics using WebGL. The game is a fork of the Freeciv project, with the goal of redesigning the desktop game into a version which can be played online. Freeciv-web introduced several new features, such as play-by-email support[39] freely available to anyone online, and support for playing the game on any real-world map location by choosing a map using Mapbox, which is not available in commercial games in the genre.[40] The game's default settings are closest to Civilization II, both in gameplay and graphics (including the units and the isometric grid). The proposal to create a web-version of Freeciv was made 6 April 2007 on the Freeciv mailing lists, and documented on the Freeciv.org wiki.[41] Freeciv-web was originally created by Andreas Røsdal, but is now maintained by several Freeciv developers on GitHub.[42] 2ff7e9595c
